My Career in Healthcare Administration

On My True Colors test I scored evenly in Orange and Gold. I looked through all the career options given to me through the orange results but my reaction was Perfunctory.  On the other hand the gold test results encompassed interesting options. I ended up choosing the Healthcare Administration field. I've always been interested in the healthcare field and I think this would be my ideal career choice. While doing my research in Healthcare Administration I learned that it is stringent, and the percentage of job opportunities are increasing every year.  A Healthcare Administration Manager usually works in; a hospitals facilities, rehabilitation institutions, group practice plans, outpatient clinic, welfare agencies, healthcare departments, educational programs, and research programs. The duties of a Healthcare Administrator are to manage, coordinate, and plan for he facility they are working for. They also analyze and finance, work close with physicians, and government institutions. A Healthcare Administrator has to be an adept person, because they are in charge keeping their facility in compliance. Salary for a Healthcare Administrator at entry level is 6,000+ per month, Average is 9,000+ per month, and top pay is 11,000+ per month. There are a number of universities that offer  Healthcare Administration Bachelors and Master degrees I'm currently still doing research on were I want to complete my schooling. I am also considering transferring to New York City or Miami. I still have not been able to do my interview but in the next couple weeks I will be meeting with a Healthcare Administrator that works for Stanford Medical Facility. I am excited to do this interview because I will be able to ask questions and see first hand what it takes to be successful in this field. Hopefully she will also give me tips that can help me along the way towards achieving my goals too.
Pictures are from (Left) Miami and (Right) NYC since I'm considering transferring to one of those Amazing city's.

  5. Health Administration is a great career choice. We always need people for health care things. Also they pay well especially if you plan to move to New York and Florida. Those places are expensive so to make a lot of money would be ideal in your case.

  10. Most medical and health services managers have at least a bachelor’s degree before entering the field; however, master’s degrees also are common. So, I wish you all the best in achieving your dreams!
