After taking the true colors test my result was that
my true color is blue. People who have the similar true color as I do tend to
be more compassionate than others, we tend to speak from our hearts, we are sensitive
to matters that occur, we are kind/loving, and we love to be able to support
other people. People often mistake us as being conceited, judgmental but in
reality we are the ones who look at the goof of other people rather than
judging them. The true color blue tends to like jobs that are in routine-like,
we prefer to work in an environment that is family-like and allows us to do a
variety of day-today operations at home. Blues are good at being able to deal
with people and helping them come together as a family. We are easy to get
along with and people tend to find us good company when they are around us.
The career research that I have been doing after
taking my true colors test is Social Workers which are also called Case Workers.
Social works tend to work with children, adults, and family’s when they are
going through a difficult time or situation. Social workers must always present
and keep a professional with the service users. They tend to have to make tough
decisions based on the type of report and incident that had occurred and they
must be ready for the service user’s reaction based on their decision. Case
workers have the choice whether in knowing the environment is precarious for the children. The works have
to be able to hear out the client who is distraught
and understand what they are telling you. The case works must always encompass all the data, analyzing, and
information that they have gotten and report it as soon as possible. Child,
family, and school social workers get paid up to $5,038 and higher depending on
how long they have been working there and it is based on their entry level.
Social works have up to 25,900 estimated jobs that have grown since 2010. In
order to be a Social Worker you must understand, be able to gather enough
information/data, and be able to complete all of your paper work.
The social worker that I have interview is Maria Gonzalez. She is a case worker who works with cases that involve children and families. The information that she has allowed me to write about is that being a social worker isn't easy, it is very exhausting, and sometimes have you working overtime. If social workers are ever scared to go into a house by themselves due to the fact that the environment is bad, they have the right to call the police to be by there side while they are doing there case work or have to take the child away. The reports are never easy because you have to be very specific and make sure that you didn't leave any information out that could help the case. Sometimes situations tend to get hostile due to the parents reaction of a social worker coming to there home.
Social worker is a great career and I just heard that the employment growth is increasing. Because of the demand of health care and social services, there a lot of available jobs for you out there. Good luck achieving your career!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing that you are considering becoming a social worker. So many children need your help because their family is abusive and sometimes it's hard to get help. Good luck on your career!
ReplyDeleteMy true color was also blue and I agree with everything you said in the first paragraph! It is a good choice becoming a Social Worker and I am sure it will be fun helping others. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteThat career seems interesting and I am also a blue so I can relate to what your wrote about helping others.
