I am a Hero!

I am Liliana Aguirre. If you would of asked me if I was a hero before I read this book. I would of responded NO!. This book has taught me that you don't have to be a super powered, flying, good looking, buff guy or girl to be a hero, you can be an everyday guy or girl in life that just goes for things in life. A person that faces their fears and over comes peoples instigation's, because if there's one thing we majorly have in life is antagonists. There will always be someone in life there to put you down, but you will always have many people to bring you up. All you have to do is first believe in yourself because if there is low self esteem in you than no matter how many good things come by you or how good people say you are you'll never understand. We all have struggles in life, we just have to learn to overcome them. That's what truly makes you a hero. Me personally, I have had major struggles, maybe not as hard as others but I've had them. Like when I got pregnant at 16 and dropped out of school. That was a major struggle because I had to face my moms despondent behavior because of the lack discretion I showed to her. I also squelched a lot of my feelings, because I felt I couldn't speak to her anymore. I was full of embarrassment, even though she always told me that no matter what happen I'd always be her daughter and she would always love me. The point is I learned to overcome this struggle, by coming back to school and continuing my dream of becoming an ultrasound nurse and living a better life that I once doubted I could have. My only hero in life is God because without him I would never of overcome this struggle, I would of never had enough strength to face life outside the box people we're putting me in, and well I was letting them. I am a hero, maybe not to just anybody but to my son, my unborn daughter, and to my husband I am a hero, because their the reason I move forward in this cruel life. There's no other reason or motivation in life than them. I am a hero most of all to myself as well, and I thank God for his help and strength because without it I wouldn't be the Hero I am today. Yes I am a hero and so are you!
