Hello
everyone, my name is Isaac Hernandez and I have autism. Sometimes I have
trouble understanding a problem or lecture. Due to the fact of me having autism
I am taking a normal class and am seated in a classroom with regular people.
Because of the things that I need to accomplish are in a regular classroom.
Sometimes i don't like to ask people for help because i don't want to be a
bother of other people so I try to understand the problems by myself. I don't
like to tell people that i have autism because I feel that they will look and
they will treat me different. I just want to be treated like a regular normal
student. The struggles I also have because I have autism is that it is
difficult for me when I am taking quizzes or test because I confuse the materials
in some ways. I also struggle sometimes when it comes to studying or writing a
paper because I am not familiar with requirements because I was never taught
how to study or write a paper very well. All my previous classes I took I
passed them all, even the hard ones that I use to have trouble with because I
am determined to pass all my classes. I am planning on getting my AA Degree and
my BA Degree. I am still undecided right now about my major but right now I am between
either in choosing Computer Science and Physical Education so hopefully I can
decide which major should I chose for myself and the people who supported
me in the past. I overcame this struggle by believing in myself and not giving
up just because I have autism doesn't mean i can’t accomplish things. I want to
be successful in life.
i am moved by this blog since Isac has shown such courage to overcome his challenges.like we all have even though they are all different in there degree of difficultly ,,,,,,
